H.M. Collins is professor of sociology and director of the Science Studies Centre at the University of Bath.  He wrote Artificial Experts (1990).

Jeff Coulter is professor of sociology and associate faculty of philosophy at Boston University.  His most recent book is Mind in Action (1989).

Merlin Donald is professor of psychology at Queens University, Kingston, Ontario, and author of Origins of the Modern Mind (1991).

Hubert L. Dreyfus is professor of philosophy at the University of California, Berkeley.  His books include What Computers Still Can't Do (3rd ed. 1992).

Serge Moscovici is professor at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales, Paris.  His books include The Age of the Crowd (Eng. tr. 1985).

Thomas J. Scheff is professor emeritus of sociology at the University of California, Santa Barbara.  His most recent book is Bloody Revenge (1993).

John R. Searle is Mills Professor of the Philosophy of Mind and Language at the University of California, Berkeley.  His most recent book is The Rediscovery of Mind (1992).
