| The Language of Education Jerome Bruner Jerome Bruner is George
Herbert Mead University Professor in the Graduate Faculty of the New
School for Social Research. His latest book, How Children Come To Talk,
will be published in 1983. Subversive Art Stanley Diamond is
Chairman and Professor of Anthropology in the Graduate Faculty of the
New School for Social Research and founder and editor of the journal
Dialectical Anthropology. He wrote In Search of the Primitive (2nd ed.,
1981). On Places, Labels, and Problems Mary Henle Mary Henle is Professor
of Psychology in the Graduate Faculty of the New School for Social
Research. She edited Documents of Gestalt Psychology (1961) and the
Selected Papers of Wolfgang Kohler (1971). Technology as a Subject for Ethics Hans Jonas Hans Jonas is Alvin Johnson Professor Emeritus of Philosophy in
the Graduate Faculty of the New School for Social Research. His books
in English include Philosophical Essays: From Ancient Creed to
Technological Man (1974). John Marshall Harlan and the Bill of Rights: A Centennial View Jacob W. Landynski Jacob W. Landynski is
Professor of Political Science in the Graduate Faculty of the New
School for Social Research. His most recent book is Fundamental Rights
and Public Policy in the New Supreme Court (1982).
Is the Glass Half-Full or Half-Empty? A Self-Critique Adolph Lowe Adolph Lowe is Alvin
Johnson Professor Emeritus of Economics in the Graduate Faculty of the
New School for Social Research. His most recent books include The Path
of Economic Growth (1976). Perceiving Arien Mack Arien Mack is Professor
of Psychology in the Graduate Faculty of the New School for Social
Research and editor of Social Research. The State and the Corporate Economy Edward Nell Edward Nell is Professor
of Economics in the Graduate Faculty of the New School for Social
Research. He edited Growth, Profits, and Property (1980).
The Depoliticization of the Liberal Arts Emil Osetereicher Emil Oestereicher is
Associate Professor of Sociology at the College of Staten Island and
the Graduate Center of the City University of New York in New York City. Balinese Cockfights and the Seduction of Anthropology William Roseberry William Roseberry is
Assistant Professor of Anthropology in the Graduate Faculty of the New
School for Social Research. His The Development of Capitalism in the
Venezuelan Andes will be published in 1983. On Self-Regulation and Transgression Reiner Schurmann Reiner Schurmann
is Associate Professor of Philosophy and Chairman of the Philosophy
Department in the Graduate Faculty of the New School for Social
Research. His most recent book is Le principe d'anarchie: Heidegger et
la question de l'agir (1982). Secular Evangelism at the University of Wisconsin Arthur J. Vidich and Stanford M. Lyman Arthur J. Vidich is Professor of Sociology and Anthropology in the Graduate Faculty of the New School for Social Research. His most recent book is Politics, Character, and Culture: Perspectives from Hans Gerth (1982). Stanford M.
