Endangered Scholars Worldwide
Panel Discussion
at The New School
Thursday, February 7, 2008
5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Free and open to the public. Reception to follow.
Join us for an evening discussion on the plight of endangered scholars around the world with a panel of scholars who have faced imprisonment, have been forced into exile from their home countries in order to escape persecution, or were denied a visa to speak in the US. We hope the event will provide a forum for these scholars to share their stories and place those stories in the broader context of global challenges to academic and intellectual freedom.
